Wireless connectivity design & development for Sub-1GHz
Begin development with Sub-1GHz products
Software
The SimpleLink Low Power Software Development Kit (SDK) offers a bundle of drivers, protocol stacks & tools for Sub-1GHz applications. It supports several IDEs: CCS, IAR and Visual Studio Code.
Multiple compilers are also compatible: TI Clang, IAR Embedded Workbench and GCC. The SDK provides OS support for:
- TI-RTOS7
- FreeRTOS
- No RTOS solutions
Note that Zephyr with the Zephyr RTOS is compatible with SimpleLink devices, but requires a separate environment outside of the SimpleLink SDK.
Sub-1GHz protocols are a collection of wireless communication stacks that enable developers to build wireless networks using supported standards. Our complete software development kit (SDK) includes components for Wi-SUN, Amazon Sidewalk, WSMS, TI 15.4-Stack, and proprietary systems.
We partner with third-party providers to offer additional stacks, including mioty and Wireless M-Bus protocols.

Hardware
LaunchPad development kits are affordable, easy-to-use platforms designed for rapid prototyping and development of sub-1GHz products. The LaunchPad kits are compatible with our extensive range of BoosterPacks, allowing for the addition of sensors, displays and more.
BoosterPacks are ready-to-use add-on boards that extend the functionality of the LaunchPad development kits. These BosterPacks are modular, allowing users to easily integrate additional components such as sensors, displays and wireless connectivity into their projects.
Debuggers are hardware tools designed to facilitate the development and debugging of sub-1GHz LaunchPads.
These debuggers provide real-time, in circuit debugging capabilities, allowing developers to monitor, control and analyze code as it runs. By connecting to the development environment debuggers enable features like step-by-step execution, breakpoints and variable inspection, making it easier to identify and fix issues in the code.
The XDS110ET additionally provides real-time, high resolution current measurements, allowing for more in-depth system energy analysis.
Debuggers are essential for programing the device, especially when the LaunchPad lacks an on-board debugger.
The antenna development kit allows for real-time testing to find the optimal antenna for your design and can be added onto the LaunchPad™ development kits. This kit includes 16 antennas for frequencies from 169MHz to 2.4GHz. Additionally, there are various technical documents that can aid in antenna development.
