Software

Our Wi-Fi® portfolio is built to provide connectivity for every system architecture. Find the right software for your design.

Our CC33xx and CC35xxE families of ICs work with MPUs running Linux or MCUs running RTOS. Our companion ICs are designed for complex systems while our wireless MCUs are optimized for real-time applications.

Linux is a free, open-source OS ideal for complex systems due to its flexibility and capabilities. However, it requires higher memory and processing power.

RTOS is designed for real-time applications where predictability and timing are critical. It's deterministic, lightweight, and optimized for resource-constrained environments.

Our wireless MCU family provides an integrated solution with a built-in MCU, allowing direct application execution on the chip

TI SimpleLink Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) companion ICs are designed to integrate with any host processor running embedded Linux. The CC33xx Linux driver works with Linux open-source components to enable Wi-Fi functionality and supports an HCI interface for easy integration with an external Bluetooth LE host stack, such as BlueZ.

Our companion ICs include a fully embedded Wi-Fi stack, making it easy to add Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE to any 32-bit MCU. TI provides an RTOS driver, its companion ICs and reference integrations for multiple host platforms. TI’s driver integrates with common open-source networking and BLE stacks on the host, such as the Lightweight IP (LwIP) stack, MbedTLS, and the NimBLE BLE host stack, to establish a full Wi-Fi & BLuetooth LE solution.

The TI SimpleLink CC35xx family of devices are powerful all-in-one Cortex-M33 based MCUs with integrated Wi-Fi 6 and BLE 5.4. TI delivers a comprehensive SDK for the CC35xx devices including FreeRTOS, Wi-Fi and networking stacks, a pre-certified BLE stack, standard TI peripheral drivers, and example applications.
